YOUTH

Youth Services

INTENSIVE IN-COMMUNITY (IIC)

An analytical, focused, goal-oriented, and needs-based clinical intervention that addresses emotional and behavioral challenges of youth with moderate to high needs. IIC Services are intended to be part of a comprehensive plan of care that is driven by the youth and family to address assessed needs. The primary objective of the interventions is symptom-reduction and individual skill development with the goal of restoring or maintaining the youth’s functioning.

BEHAVIORAL ASSISTANCE (BA)

This intervention technique targets specific behaviors that are interfering with functioning. An individualized service plan (ISP) is created for each youth to manage and handle behavioral problems. Detailed modifications of youth behaviors are prepared by a licensed clinical behavioral health practitioner. BA is a supportive role that assists with implementation of interventions and strategies to manage behaviors and strengthen and develop skills (e.g. coping skills, communication skills, adaptive skills, and anger management skills).
